The Examined Life

Posted by bramlevinson on

One night a couple of years ago, I was lying in bed waiting for sleep to come when I suddenly had an idea for a project, one that would involve tons of work but could pave the way for more projects in the same series. At the time, I was leaving one career to move towards something else, but at the time I didn’t know what shape that would take. It was because I didn’t know where my professional life was heading that I was able to dream big enough to realistically contemplate taking on such a massive endeavour, but that element of the unknown also meant that I needed to think more pragmatically and responsibly in the short-term. As you all know, I spent the following 2 years writing, dabbling in photography, and, more obviously, immersing myself in Yoga.

The concept for the project has been with me since that first sleepless night, but has recently brought itself into the forefront of my thoughts and plans. Not only have I had repeat performances of that first night, with actual images of the project appearing in front of me, but with help from the Lululemon Ambassador Summit’s workshop on goal-setting and peer-to-peer goal counselling, I’ve been able to whittle down my vision. And so I now come to you all.

Without giving too much away, I’d like to hear from anyone who a) has a story to tell, who has lived something that has help define them and their vision of the world around them, and/or b) knows someone who has a story to tell, who has lived something that has help define them and c) is willing to be photographed. Once I have a good number of people interested, I’ll have an initial meeting with each of you to go over details and take it from there. I obviously want to keep the concept somewhat hush-hush, as I really believe in its relevance as not only an extension of myself, but to the world around us.

Let me know if you’re interested in being a part of this or if you know anyone who might be…and stay tuned!!!
